Our Heritage

Established in 1927, Lake Geneva Christian Center is a non-profit ministry of the Minnesota District Council of the Assemblies of God and is a member of the Christian Camp & Conference Association. There has been a long tradition of campers having a great week and growing in their spiritual lives as a result of the ministry at Lake Geneva. As a non-profit organization, Lake Geneva relies on gifts from friends and camp partners for all capital improvements and expansion. Camp fees are used for operational overhead.

  • Please send a copy of your insurance card with your student to camp. Students are covered by LGCC’s accident insurance on a secondary basis. In case of an accident, the student’s family will be billed for any medical expenses. LGCC’s secondary insurance will pay the balance of all qualifying expenses not covered by the family’s insurance.

  • LGCC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. After 30 days, unclaimed items become the property of LGCC & may be donated to families in need or given to charitable organizations.

  • Purchase your camp t-shirt by pre-ordering during online registration. Merch will also be available at camp.

  • Check-in is located in the gym at camp, when you arrive on Monday from 10:00 am -11:00 am.

  • Yes - people can park in the RV area or any onsite parking spots. If you are a student, you have to turn in your keys to the camp office once you arrive and pick them up before you leave.

  • Let the Youth Camp Staff know beforehand when you plan on picking up your student by emailing youthcamp@mnaog.org.

When you arrive, please stop by the camp office and check in with a head counselor to complete the pick up process.

  • Yes, medications are turned in during the camper check-in.

Please ensure that all the medication you plan to bring is typed into your Campwise registration before arrival and is in its original container.

The camp nurses will distribute medications as needed at camp. Any medications not turned in at camp check-in will be confiscated and turned into the camp nurses.

Note: Our nurses provide common over-the-counter medications (such as Tylenol, ibuprofen, Benadryl, Tums, Neosporin, and cough drops), so campers do not need to pack these items. They will be available as needed.

  • Yes, but it is preferred that the student pays in full prior to camp.

If you plan on paying onsite please instruct your student to go to the help desk upon arrival.

  • Yes.

If your Campwise forms are not fully completed by check in, the student will be asked to stay until they are filled out. This will result in a slower process, as we would have to contact the students’ guardian to log back into Campwise and complete the forms.

  • Color teams are announced by noon the Saturday prior to the camp week start.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we are unable to release REC colors prior to noon on the Saturday before your camper’s week of camp due to prioritizing final housing arrangements and team sizes to make REC as great an experience as possible : )

    • Students are roomed together based on their gender and church group. If your student is coming without a church, they will be added to a church group relevant to them.

    • Leaders do not stay in rooms with the students, but are housed nearby in case any issues arise.
